Citing a recent rise in air pollution, the Yakima County Clean Air Authority imposed a more restrictive Stage 2 burn ban on Thursday. The ban, announced at 9 a.m., applies to all of Yakima County except the Yakama reservation, where the federal Environmental Protection Agency has jurisdiction.
