New York plan reflects demand for natural gas trucks.

Demand is rising as trucking companies switch from diesel fuel to liquefied natural gas, which doesn’t produce the toxic fumes associated with smog, asthma, lung cancer and other health problems. But New York’s ban puts up a roadblock as companies build a nationwide network of LNG fueling facilities.
